Why Cosplay?

To be honest, there's really no straight answer to this. It seems most people just get into it by accident and so did we. We originally attended A-kon 16 in Dallas, and by the end of A-kon 17 we decided we didn't just want to take pictures of awesome costumes anymore, we wanted to be a part of it. I guess some people might cosplay for the contests and the awards and whatnot, but the majority of the people I've met all do it for the same reason. It's this awesome euphoric feeling you get, walking around as somebody else and hearing people call out to you and want to take pictures of and with you. It's not an ego thing though, more like a feeling of satisfaction that other people acknowledge and appreciate the work you put into your outfit. Another very addicting aspect for me is the cosplay community itself, it's like going back to being a five year old when making friends was so easy, you just go up to someone and say "hey, wanna play?". You encounter a few bad apples here and there, but the majority of cosplayers seem to be friendly, funny, and willing to offer advice for inexperienced cosplayers.

Why Sexy Jutsu?

When I decided to make this site for our cosplay stuff, I asked Moreck for some ideas. At the time we had just watched quite a few Naruto DVDs and after a few minutes of brainstorming we each decided it would be funny to go with Sexy Jutsu. For those who don't know, the 'sexy' jutsu is when Naruto transforms himself into a naked chick covered barely by clouds. I *think* the point of a jutsu is that you're supposed to transform yourself into something useful or disguise yourself in a crowd, and a naked chick really doesn't accomplish either of those. But I digress, the point is Naruto transforms himself into something I find hilarious, therefore, we decided it would be a fun little cosplay name.
